I am currently an independent scholar, adjunct Assistant Professor, and editor based in Los Angeles. I was previously Book Review Editor at PUBLIC Journal and postdoctoral researcher at Artefact Lab in the Department of Communication at the Université de Montréal (2019-2021). My ongoing research agenda traces a framework of document aesthetics and is currently focused on charting practices (read more about it here).

I completed my PhD in Communication & Culture at York University, Canada in 2019, where I was a Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) doctoral fellow. My research interests are oriented around interdisciplinary approaches to politics, aesthetics and mediation. My doctoral research examined leaky phenomena across media and information studies, ecologies, and politics— I am currently adapting this project into a manuscript. Generally, my work sits at the intersection of critical media theory, aesthetics, science and technology studies and visual and material culture.
